Dr. Ammar Hatab is a board certified Allergist and Immunologist who has been practicing since 2005. He received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut. He completed his Internal Medicine residency and his Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Iowa.
Prior to moving to Tampa, to join our group, Dr. Hatab worked in private practice in Southern California and Iowa. His prior experience includes starting a thriving allergy practice, teaching medical students and residents, and participating in more than 20 clinical trials, as a principal investigator or sub-investigator.
In addition to delivering state of the art care to patients with allergic rhinitis and asthma, Dr. Hatab has special expertise in treating chronic cough, hives, angioedema (swelling episodes) and immunodeficiency disorders. His practice philosophy is to treat every patient with skill, care and compassion. "I always strive to treat my patients as if I were treating members of my own family".
Dr. Hatab is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (FAAAAI) and a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI) and other national and international professional organizations.
